Northwest Regional Strategy (RS2010) Consultation

The Northwest Regional Strategy will become the blueprint for sustainable economic growth in England’s Northwest.

General Context:
The Regional Strategy for the Northwest provides a unique opportunity to bring together its spatial, economic, social and environmental strategies and build a new long term vision for the region.  About the Consultation:
Part 1 sets out the high-level framework and outlines the overarching vision, priorities and action areas for the strategy that will enable Northwest partners to work together to maximise the region’s opportunities and address the challenges over the next twenty years.

Think Family Strategy Consultation

 About the consultation:

The Think Family Strategy is based on the assumption that in Manchester , all partners delivering services from universal to targeted, working with either individual family members or groups of family members will expect their staff to adopt a whole family, holistic approach to all of their customers.  Manchester City Council (MCC) want to make life easier for families and so create a community where it is much simpler to have aspirations. The Think Family Strategy intends to provide a challenge to all partnership strategies in the City. The draft strategy can be found at: http://www.cn4m.net/node/2952.

 How to respond:

Consultation responses can be made using the Consultation Questionnaire (which can be found in the consultation document at: http://www.cn4m.net/node/2952), by email to:familystrategy@manchester.gov.uk, or by post to: Family Strategy Team, C/o Martyn Buonocore, Manchester City Council, 2nd Floor, Overseas House, Quay Street, Manchester, M3 3BB. For further information, contact Martyn Buonocore on 0161 234 8092, or Shirley Woods Gallagher on 0161 234 7162.

Nicola Shanahan from the Child and Family Support Forum will be collating responses to the strategy. If you would like to include your comments in this response, email Nicola on Nicola@macc.org.uk no later than 1 March 2010.

Consultation end date: 31 March, 2010
